Introducing my 20 year old Norwegian Fjord, "Sven". Gentle and kind, he is my number one driving horse!!
My second horse purchase, he taught me all I know about carriage driving. He loves going down a country road, at a nice clip, slowing down at each driveway hoping we are turning in to visit. Cars, trucks, farm equipment or barking dogs don't phase Sven. He is a happy camper when out on a drive.
Sven has been to the Fjord Show in Blue Earth, MN, the Minnesota Horse Expo representing the Norwegian Fjord Horse, and, even visited our local Ford dealer in town to inquire about a trade-in for the snazzy red mustang sitting out front. Earlier that day Sven and I gave a driving presentation for the Summer Reading Program at our local library. Children and adults alike gathered around Sven asking the question we hear the most......"Does his mane grow that way?" (answer: no, we cut it with a scissors)
